Two-year-old Pennsylvania-breds will take center stage on Thursday afternoon at The Meadows, with more than $1.2 million in purses up for grabs in the PA Sire Stake championships and consolations. Four $252,000 finals will take place, along with four $50,000 consolations. Horses earned points in four Sire Stake legs contested during the summer, and the top eight in points were invited to compete in the finals. Thursday’s first four races will be the PA Sire Stake consolation events for those just missing the top events. Post time for the card is 12:45 p.m.
