40th Pepsi North America Cup draws highest number of nominations since 2010

Woodbine Entertainment today announced 86 three-year-old pacers have been nominated to this year’s $1 million Pepsi North America Cup.

This year’s Pepsi North America Cup, scheduled for Saturday, June 17 at Woodbine Mohawk Park, will mark the 40th edition of Canada’s most prestigious harness racing.

The total of 86 nominees is up significantly from 61 last year (2022) and is the highest number since 2010 (89). The record for highest number of nominations is 133 (2009). ​ ​

O’Brien and Dan Patch Award winner Stockade Seelster leads the group of 86 nominees. The Dr. Ian Moore trained colt won eight of 11 starts, including the $900,000 Metro Pace, to finish his rookie season with $917,470 in earnings for owners Sally MacDonald and Paul MacDonald.
