Breeders Crown winner Allegiant is sales topper at inaugural North American Standardbred Mixed Sale

Allegiant, the winner of the 2024 Breeders Crown for 3-year-old filly trotters, was the sales topper at the inaugural North American Standardbred Mixed Sale in Mt. Hope, Ohio on Tuesday (Dec. 17) after being sold to Sweden’s Eagles Rising AB for $925,000. Crystal Springs Stables was the consignor for owner Ryan W. Smith.
In 2024, Allegiant (Tactical Landing – Too Good For You) won six times, with four seconds and two thirds in 17 races and earned $748,027, improving her career statistics to 11-5-3 from 27 races and $1,043,347 in lifetime earnings.
In addition to winning the Breeders Crown at The Meadowlands on Oct. 26, 2024, she also was victorious in her Breeders Crown elimination a week before on Oct. 19, the Matron Stakes at Bally’s Dover on Nov. 7 when she surpassed the $1 million mark in career earnings, Hambletonian Oaks elimination at The Meadowlands on July 27, and Moni Maker Stakes at Eldorado Scioto Downs on July 6.
She finished third in the Hambletonian Oaks final on Aug. 3 and completed the year with a second-place finish against Open Mares in the FanDuel Championship at The Meadowlands on Nov. 30.
In total, 266 horses were sold with an average price of $15,560.
