Delaware Breeders Fund eliminations set at Harrington

At 0h04, on June 15, 2021 By HARRINGTON RACEWAY

The Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes for 3-year-olds will headline today and tomorrow at Harrington Raceway.

The female pacers will compete in three divisions Tuesday and both sexes of trotters in five divisions on Wednesday. Each split goes for a purse of $20,000 in the two weeks of eliminations, with the $100,000 finals to be contested on July 29.

Tuesday’s filly pacing divisions are stout with the stiffest split being in the 6th race, as Roddy’s Bags Again-sired Littlebagoftricks (7/5, Russell Foster) and Tobago Cays-sired Tobago Time (8/5, Pat Berry) will square off. Owned by Rich Lombardo, Charles Cochran and trainer Josh Green, “Tricks” won 4-of-6 as a 2-year-old and banked nearly $100,000, while Frank Chick and David Hamm’s Tobago Time already has two wins under her belt at 3 and was a DSBF consolation winner at 2 for trainer Kevin Lare.

Wednesday is trot night which marks the stakes return of Bobby Myers’ Big Al M (Eddie Davis Jr.), a son of Anders Bluestone who dominated the colt and gelding ranks at 2, winning 5-of-7 and banked $136,092. His chief rival, Don and David Wiest’s Keystone Activator-sired Rhett (Corey Callahan) is back and drew in with him in the 1st division on the card, slated as the 2nd on the 15-race program.

The filly trot division is headed by Thestable Jazzy Judy Group’s Jazzy Judy (Anthony MacDonald), a daughter of Political Briefing who won 3-of-6 at 2 for trainer Jim King Jr. and is fresh off a pair of blowout qualifiers.

Post time today and tomorrow is 4:30 p.m.
