Drivers Holiday Challenge

At 0h02, on December 8, 2025 By Western Fair

The Raceway at Western Fair District will once again celebrate the season of giving with its sixth annual Drivers’ Holiday Challenge, taking place on Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 5pm-10pm.

This year’s edition introduces a new twist, as teams of two drivers representing regions across Canada will go head-to-head for national holiday bragging rights — all in support of Toys for Tots.

There will be four regional teams vying for top honours in the friendly competition, as listed below.

Western Canada: Phil Hudon & Daryl Thiessen
Ontario: Garrett Rooney & Lorne House
Maritimes: Austin Sorrie & Paul MacKenzie
Quebec: Louis-Philippe Roy & Samuel Fillion

Drivers will accumulate points throughout the evening’s races, with the regional team earning the highest combined total taking the title of 2025 Holiday Challenge Champions.
