Dutton faces older horses at Emerald Downs

An excellent Wednesday card is highlighted by the highly-anticipated return of 2020 Horse of the Meeting at Emerald Downs Dutton, who meets older horses in his 2021 debut. A gate scratch 10 days ago in the Auburn Stakes, Dutton is extremely fast early and too much for these–if he loads and exits the starting gate smoothly. However, even without Dutton this is a talented field.

Windribbon has had his share of bad luck at the meet; paddock scratch after losing a shoe June 2 and gate scratch before the Budweiser Stakes on June 17. Windribbon has high early speed and his first start here last July was superior. Oh Marvelous Me rallied past Windribbon twice last fall and has finished first, second or third in 22 of 25 starts at Emerald Downs.
