Four $150,000 Kentucky Sires Stakes Finals Headline Monday Card at Oak Grove

The spotlight will shine on Kentucky-bred four-year-olds Monday afternoon at Oak Grove Racing, as four $150,000 Kentucky Sires Stakes finals take center stage. First post is scheduled for 2:10 p.m.

Harrisburg Heist appears poised to capture the opening final. The Ron Burke trainee has won five of six starts this season and swept all three preliminary legs of the series. Already boasting earnings of more than $160,000 in 2026, he enters the final as the horse to beat. His speed was on full display in a 1:48.4 victory over the same track on May 16.

His main challenger will be Captain Arturovico, who also captured all three preliminary legs, including a 1:49.3 victory..

Driven by Dexter Dunn, he starts from post five, a position that could allow him to secure ideal early placement before launching his bid.

The mare trot final appears considerably more competitive. R Dutchess enters the event in excellent form after winning two of the last three preliminary divisions. The daughter of Father Patrick possesses both the speed and consistency needed to prevail.

Quebec representative Lasting Dream, trained by Luc Blais for the Montreal-based Determination stable, also deserves serious consideration. After a delayed start to her season, she has recorded a win and a second-place finish in three series starts and appears to be improving with each outing. Daniel Dubé will drive.

Winnpanzee cannot be overlooked either. Her disappointing effort last week, caused by a break in stride, does not accurately reflect her ability. Prior to that setback, she had posted seven top-three finishes in nine starts this season.

The male trot final could produce a highly anticipated showdown between Gimpanzee Dancer and Whiskey Wow.

Gimpanzee Dancer has won six of nine starts in 2026 and has dominated his division for several weeks. He captured two preliminary legs as well as the spring series final on May 16.

Whiskey Wow, however, may possess the most explosive speed in the field. He has three victories this season, including an impressive 1:50.3 performance at Oak Grove. Several recent breaks have hurt his record, but when he stays flat, he is capable of competing with any rival. Dexter Dunn, who guided him to two victories earlier this year, returns to the sulky.

The final for pacing mares could crown Three Times Bettor. The Brett Pelling trainee has won five of six starts this season while earning more than $140,000. Winner of the spring series final in May, she appears to hold a slight edge over her rivals.

Her latest victory, a front-end score in 1:49.4 after leaving from post seven, was particularly impressive.
