Driver Wally Hennessey continues his domination at Tioga Downs with six more winners on Sunday’s (June 20) card.  He combined with trainer Mike Deters to take the co-features with Rebellious and Burn Notice.

Rebellious ($5.80) breezed to an easy win in 1:50.3 in the $10,000 Open Pace. American Zest A was second best with Kerford Road A settling for third.

Rebellious is a 7-year-old gelding by Mach Three.  He is owned by Joel Warner as well Deters.  It was win number seven in 2021.  He now has 48 career victories.

Burn Notice captured the $10,000 Open Trot.

Burn Notice ($8.70) went right to the front and led to the first quarter in :28.0.  He used a :29.2 second quarter to hit the half first in :57.2.  Lightfootedlegend (Renaldo Morales III) made his move first-up and challenged all the way down the backstretch.  Burn Notice continued to lead as they hit three-quarters in 1:25.1.

As they headed for the stretch Burn Notice turned away Lightfootedlegend and put it in another gear to win in 1:53.3. My Lindy Winner (Mike Merton) put in a late bid but had to settle for second. Lightfootedlegend was third best.
