Jackpot Hi-5 mandatory payout set for Saturday at Woodbine Mohawk Park

Woodbine Entertainment has announced a mandatory payout for the Standardbred Jackpot Hi-5 will take place this Saturday (April 12) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Poor weather conditions forced live racing on March 29 to be canceled after six races. That evening’s program was scheduled to include a Jackpot Hi-5 mandatory payout. Since the cancelation, the Jackpot Hi-5 carryover has grown to C$179,930.10.

Jackpot Hi-5 wagering will continue to be offered on each card leading up to Saturday’s mandatory payout.

The Jackpot Hi-5 requires horseplayers to select the top five finishers in order. A horseplayer can only win the entire jackpot if they hold the only winning ticket for that evening’s wager. If there are multiple winning tickets, half the pool is paid out, while the other half is added to the carryover.

The entire carryover will be paid out, plus new money wagered, during the mandatory payout. The Jackpot Hi-5 has a 20-cent minimum and a 15 percent takeout.

The entries for Saturday’s card will be released on Tuesday.

Post time Saturday is 6:35 p.m.

Live racing continues every Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
