After two starts at Rideau Carleton Raceway, a second and fourth place finishes, Jans Legacy has returned to the Hippodrome 3 Sunday for trainer and co-owner Marc-Andre Simoneau of Trois-Rivieres.

The seven-year-old mare by Camluck will start from post four for driver Stephane Brosseau in the 8th race co-feature Preferred Pace for mares. She is also co-owned by the Desjardins Noreau Stable of Quebec City.

Before leaving for Rideau Carleton Raceway, Jans Legacy was pretty sharp at H3R. She had won twice for Brosseau, the fastest a 1:57.2 triumph. She is listed as the 3-1 second choice in the race.

The 5/2 morning line favorite is Playa Duharas from post six for driver Francis Picard. A winner in two of her four starts so far in 2021, Playa Duharas won in 1:58.2 and was a game third last week in this class.

A five-year-old mare by Sunshine Beach, Playa Duharas is trained by Dominique Picard for The Perle Royale Stable of Dunham.

Other contenders include return winner Sophies Cam (post 7), Y C Easy (post 9) and Topsill Beach (post 8).

Sunday’s 6th race co-feature Preferred Pace for the horses is headlined by Mickymaksomespeed (post 4), fresh off a 1:57 triumph taking on Somewhere Beach (post 1) and Hooter Shooter (post 2).

First race post time is 12:30 pm. Free race programs are available at www.hippodrome3r.ca.
