Kinnder Motown (Muscle Mass) will seek a sweep in the third preliminary round of the Breeders Trophy Series at the Hippodrome 3R in Quebec on Friday, August 18.

So far, Kinnder Motown has been a perfect two for two in the series for trainer Isabelle Darveau, driver/husband Robert Shepherd and owner Rejean Lemieux of Quebec.

The series is for three-year-old trotting colts & geldings and fillies. After Friday’s third round of preliminary action, the top eight point earners will return on Sunday, September 10 for their respective $65,000 finals.

On Friday, Kinnder Motown heads the 9th race $10,000 division for the colts and geldings.

He starts from post six and has been red hot all season long with Shepherd in the sulky. Kinnder Motown sports five wins in eight starts this year, the fastest a lifetime mark of 1:57.4 taken at Rideau Carleton Raceway.

It will not be a walk in the park for Kinnder Motown as he takes on Free Wheels (post 8), who is the lone return winner in the field, winning his last start by five lengths for owner-trainer-driver Herve Kirouac of Sherbrooke, who just celebrated his birthday on Wednesday.

Wolinak (post 9) and BBC Sportsboy (post 5) have also won divisions of the Breeders Trophy Series.

The three-year-old trotting fillies do battle in the 5th race for a purse of $10,000 and the rivalry will continue between two series leg winners, Kenogami Courage (Lookslikeachpndale) and Dont Treat Me Bad (Resolve).

Both fillies have already raced against each other in the series and each have come away with a victory.

Kenogami Courage is the race favorite starting from post three for driver Stephane Brosseau. Trained, bred and co-owned by Jack Reid, Kenogami Courage has two wins this season.

Don’t Treat Me Bad goes from post seven for driver Jocelyn Gendron and it was just two starts back that she beat Kenogami Courage in the series with a 2:01.4 romp by eight lengths.

She sports three wins on the year for owner-trainer Herve Kirouac.

First race post time for the twilight race card on Friday is at 4:00 pm.
