Mr Buff returns to action at Saratoga

Popular New York homebred Mr. Buff returns to action at Saratoga in Wednesday’s $100,000 Evan Shipman Handicap, a nine-furlong test for state-bred 3-year-olds and up. The day’s card will also feature the $120,000 Mahony, a turf sprint for 3-year-olds named in honor of Patrick Mahony, the longtime senior vice president of mutuels at NYRA who retired in 2016 after more than 50 years in the racing industry.

The Pick 6 will be bolstered by a $187,640 carryover into Wednesday’s card at Saratoga Race Course as the multi-race wager went unsolved Sunday at Saratoga Race Course.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $1,787 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

First post on the 10-race card is 1:05 p.m.
