New faces set for Cal Expo opening

At 0h45, on November 18, 2022 By CAL EXPO

Several new stables are on the scene and ready for action as the Watch and Wager LLC harness meeting at Cal Expo gets underway on Friday evening (Nov. 18).

There will be 46 nights of trotting and pacing with a Friday/Sunday schedule, with the exception being special programs on Monday (Dec. 26) and Saturday (Feb. 11).

The province of Alberta will be well represented as Kelly Crump, Doug Stout, Trevor Williams and Travis Ellis have brought stables to the Sacramento oval for the first time.

New to California with horses from the Midwest will be Alesia Kehl and Ryan Verhage, while Cal Expo is also expecting a number of new drivers to be competing at this stand.
