Pocono prepares to open 2022 season

Preparations for the opening of the 2022 harness racing season at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono are approaching top speed, with a draw this Friday (Feb. 4) at 11 a.m. for the first qualifying races of the year on Monday (Feb. 7) at 10 a.m., ahead of the opening program of racing on Saturday (Feb. 12), which will be drawn on Monday (Feb. 7) at 9 a.m.

During this month, the track will operate on Saturday (Feb. 12), Saturday (Feb. 19), Sunday (Feb. 20), Saturday (Feb. 26) and Sunday (Feb. 27). Upon switching to March, the track will race a Saturday-Sunday-Monday schedule starting Saturday (March 5).

Post times at Pocono this year will be every racing day at 1:30 p.m. (an hour later than last year) except for Sundays, when cards will start at 5 p.m.
