The post positions are set for the $100,000 Gold Cup and Saucer following an on-track draw held at Charlottetown Driving Park during the card on Tuesday, Aug. 12.

Miki Shan N, who equalled the all-age track record in 1:50.1 in his trial victory, will leave from post three for trainer Chris MacKay. The six-year-old Always B Miki-Yankee Dream stallion is undefeated since moving to Prince Edward Island with six consecutive wins, including the Governor’s Plate. He races for owners Kap Singh Racing Stable, Stephen Klunowski, Earl Hill Jr., and Donald MacRae.

Beside him in post four will be the other trial winner, Its Major Major A. The recent Australian import comes off a dominant 1:50.3 win in his elimination, which was also his Island debut. He has won three of six starts since moving to Canada earlier this year and took a mark of 1:48.2 at Woodbine Mohawk Park in July. Rene Bourassa trains the seven-year-old son of Art Major-Garden Gate Tina for Daniel Gaudreault and Dr. John Bradbury.
