Woodbine Entertainment today announced a mandatory payout for the Power Pick-6 will be held this Thursday (July 17) at Woodbine Racetrack.

The Power Pick-6 carryover sits at $171,620.82 heading into Thursday’s mandatory payout.

A jackpot-style wager, the Power Pick-6 requires a horseplayer to select the winners of six consecutive races and only pays out the entire jackpot when there is just one winning ticket sold, except for a mandatory payout.

Horseplayers will have an opportunity at a share of the entire Jackpot this Thursday, as the Power Pick-6 mandatory payout starts on Race 3 and continues through the balance of the eight-race program. The total pool is expected to exceed $500,000.

Thursday’s mandatory payout marks the first-time Woodbine will offer a mandatory payout on the Power Pick-6. The multi-leg jackpot-style wager debuted in October 2019. The Power Pick-6 has a $0.20 minimum and 15 per cent takeout.

Post time for Thursday’s card is 1:10 p.m.
