Progress Pace Elimination set at Bally’s Dover

There are 11 3-year-old Colt and Gelding Pacers scheduled to compete in the Progress Pace Elimination race at Bally’s Dover on Thursday (Nov. 21).

The single elimination race carries a purse of $35,000 and is scheduled for the 10th of 14 races on the betting card. The estimated post time is 7:40 p.m.

The first eight in the official order of finish return for the Progress Pace Final on Wednesday (Nov. 27).

Eight, 3-year-old pacers will have their noses on the gate. There are three trailers that will score from the second tier.

Notables in the field include: Captain Albano, who won his Matron Stake two weeks ago in 1:48.4. He is the leading money earner in the race with over $1.4 million in lifetime earnings. Captain Albano was victorious in the Little Brown Jug and Adios earlier in the year.

Breeders Crown winner Mirage Hanover, is the fastest in the field with a 1:46.3 lifetime clocking.

Nijinsky, who won at Hoosier Park last start in 1:48.4. He’s bankrolled over $1.2 million lifetime and ponied up $25,000 to supplement into the race.
