Rare brothers and sisters to battle at Hippodrome 3R

Occasionally harness racing fans will get to see equine siblings compete against each other in a race.

But how about two entries in the same race and it’s two brothers and sisters racing against each other.

It’s happening Sunday, Oct. 30 at the Hippodrome 3R.

The 3rd race co-feature trot has the entry of Archimed Alpha (Royalty For Life) and Stella Alpha (Royalty For Life) going against Kinderunbelievable (Archangel) and Kinnder Dangerzone (Northern Escort).

Both Archimed Alpha (post 2) and Stella Alpha (post 8) are from the foundation mare Éclair Chocolat. They were bred and are owned and trained by H3R’s leading trainer Sylvain Tremblay and the Alpha Stable of Metabetchouan.

Archimed Alpha will be driven by Francis Picard and comes into the race off a lifetime best 1:59.1 triumph, his second win of the year. He is age 4 and the older brother of Stella Alpha.

Stella Alpha will have regular pilot Pascal Berube driving. She sports eight wins this year, seven of those wins right at H3R. This past week she won a qualifying race at H3R in 2:00.4. She is one of only two three-year-olds going against older horses.

Kinderunbelievable (post 3) and Kinnder Dangerzone (post 5) are both from the top broodmare Majestic Joy, and were bred, owned and are trained by Denitza Petrova of Melbourne. Kinderunbelievable is the older sister at age 6 and Kinnder Dangerzone is a four-year-old stallion.

Kinnder Dangerzone is the stronger part of the entry for driver Jonathan Lachance. He has four wins on the season, including a lifetime mark of 1:58.1.

Kinderunbelievable has but two wins on the season, but one was a lifetime best 1:57.4 triumph at Rideau Carleton Raceway. She will be driven by Pierre-Luc Roy.

Other contenders in the field include Morally Flexible (post 7), who has won two of his last three starts for driver Stephane Brosseau and Royalty Beer (post 6), a four-time winner this season.

H3R features an 11-race program Sunday with first race post time at 12:00 noon.
