Rising Star shooting for Big M win Friday

Just before heading to the airport last week for a trip to the U.S. as his reward for capturing the 2020 Knutsson Rising Star Cup, 22-year-old driver Nicklas Korfitsen won a race in Norway. On Friday, a night before heading to the airport to return home, Korfitsen will try to bookend his journey with a victory at The Meadowlands.

Korfitsen, a native of Denmark, will drive Danish-born Epos Ostervang in a $10,000 conditioned trot at The Big M. Per Engblom trains the horse, who has a win and a second in three races since arriving from Europe. He will start from post eight and is the 7-2 second choice on the morning line.
