The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono begins new season on Saturday

At 0h03, on February 10, 2022 By POCONO DOWNS

The 2022 racing season at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono begins with a 14-race card on Saturday (Feb. 12), with a 1:30 p.m. post for race one.

It will be the first of 136 racing days on the 2022 meet, which will be the 57th year of racing at the Wilkes-Barre harness racing track.

Saturday’s action will be the lone card of this week, but there will be Saturday and Sunday cards for the remaining two weeks of February. In March, Monday afternoons will be added to the Pocono schedule, followed by Tuesdays in April to bring the track up to its standard schedule of four days a week.

First-race post times on Saturdays, Mondays and Tuesdays will be at 1:30 p.m., while on Sundays, racing begins at 5 p.m. The racing action at Pocono for 2022 continues all the way to the scheduled closing date of Nov. 19.
