The Pacers Take Center Stage

Male and female pacers aged four and older will compete in the Quebec-Bred Series on Sunday at Hippodrome Trois-Rivières, with seven male pacers and 15 mares entered.

The headliner among the male pacers is Bets Beach, who remains undefeated this season with three victories, including his most recent win last week in 1:57.2. Driven by Pascal Bérubé for trainer Yves Tessier, the son of All Bets Off will leave from post seven. His main challengers are expected to be Kingston Panic, who recorded the fastest mile of the 2026 season at Trois-Rivières when he stopped the clock in 1:56.2 on May 17, and Thrilling Times.

The mares’ event was divided into two divisions, and both contests promise plenty of excitement.

In the first division, Silver Majesty ships in from neighbouring Ontario with a record of 3-2-0 from 13 starts this season. The Jean-François Maguire trainee posted a career-best 1:53.3 mile on March 27 at Woodbine Mohawk Park. She will start from post three with Denis St-Pierre in the sulky. Shanghaibluebeach, who returned to competition this year after producing a foal in 2025, is also entered, along with Wicked Discovery, who will be driven by Jessica Turenne.

In the second division, Kiss Me Bad, winner of last year’s Quebec-Bred Series Final, will start from the rail as she attempts to successfully defend her title. Whitemountaincammy and Islamabad appear to be her toughest rivals. The latter, driven by Francis Picard, won her most recent outing over a sloppy track and will have to overcome the challenge of starting from the outside post.

Sunday’s card at Trois-Rivières is scheduled to get underway at noon.
