Trombetta aims a milestone

Sonata Stable’s Conclusive, a 2-year-old son of 2016 Florida Derby (G1) and Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Nyquist, broke his maiden in his third career start in Sunday’s Race 5 at Laurel Park, giving trainer Mike Trombetta his 1,999th career victory. Trombetta can hit the milestone with starters in three of nine races when live racing returns to Laurel Thursday, Nov. 4.
