Yannick Gingras stings at the Big M

At 0h10, on February 27, 2023 By MEADOWLANDS

In his typical consistent fashion, Yannick Gingras has made his way to the top of the harness racing driver standings at The Meadowlands during the current winter meeting.

On Friday night at The Big M, the 43-year-old Hall of Fame pilot padded his lead by winning five times on the 13-race card, a superb night at the races when you consider there were only 11 chances for Gingras, since two of the dashes were exclusively for GSY Amateur Drivers Club competitors.

Gingras now has 32 wins to lead the Big M driver colony, five more than closest pursuer Joe Bongiorno. Over the last six race cards, he has recorded at least two wins five times, while winning three or more thrice. He’s won nine times over the last two race cards, with only two going off as the favorite. A year ago, Gingras was the most prolific dash-winning driver at The Meadowlands with 136 winner’s circle visits.
