Since when are you interested in horse racing ?
Since I was very young. My father owned horses and bets regularly, about five or six times a week. In 1972, we won the Horse of the Year at Hippodrome 3R. I was nine at the time. As my father was influential, I had the privilege of entering the Hippodrome despite my age.
What led you to develop such a passion ?
First, it allowed me to spend more time with my father, my idol. I even dreamed of being a jockey but this dream disappeared after an incident where I almost got run over by a horse.
My father sang or described the races with the results of the newspaper and he was excellent. I have heard him so often. I think I inherited his talent. In 1986, the Hippodrome is looking for a new announcer and I dreamed to try my luck for several years. I was finally given my chance and it worked right away.
How often do you bet ?
As an announcer, I never bet on H3R racing. I am analysing races every day, I listen to a lot other announcers from different tracks.
