No 3 Daddy is A Legend (7/2) has two wins in Grades 3 in his last six starts, making him the horse to beat and his style is to stay close to the leaders. Manuel Franco will certainly use this strategy but there is always the risk of being in the bad wake and be backed by horses losing speed. No 5 Cool Beans (10/1) is the one who will dictate the speed of the pack but when you count 14 horses, some will have the same strategy especially outdoor horses who will want to position themselves at the start and we risk having fast fractions. We will have to monitor the three French invaders. Godolphin’s No 13 Poetic Charm is not here in America for nothing but I still like to wait for a start before and see how it reacts. No 14 Chipolata (5/1) already has a start here in America and he finished third in a Grade 1 race which is the pinnacle but from this position he will have to make two or three moves to be well placed and I am not a fan of that. No 7 Colonia (6/1) has three starts in America and he will be watching. After a win in a stake provided, it has appeared in a race Grade 1 and if we find a lot of speed, it will arrive very fast at the end of races. No 4 Mightly Scarlett (8/1), a neglected who intrigues me. After breaking up his maiden (no career wins), he immediately ran into a Grade 3 and Grade 1 races and despite minor returns, his Byers effort is 91 which is at the level of the best in this race.
