Action set to continue in Blue Chip Matchmaker

At 0h02, on March 26, 2021 By YONKERS

Horses will look to build on their point totals when Yonkers Raceway plays host to the third legs of the Blue Chip Matchmaker Series on Friday (March 26).

Three of the pacing mares who have collected victories in the event thus far will face off in the second of two $35,000 divisions (race seven). Seaswift Joy N (post two, Andrew McCarthy/Tony Alagna) scored last Friday, Blue Ivy (post five, Tyler Buter/Todd Buter) was a round one winner, and Alexa Skye (post six, Todd McCarthy/Jeff Cullipher) will look to improve to three-for-three.

The first Blue Chip Matchmaker flight (race six) will see a new face get 50 points as none of the participants has won in this year’s series as of yet. Snobbytown (post two, George Brennan/Ron Burke) is the morning-line favorite after finishing second a week ago.

Preliminary round action in the Blue Chip Matchmaker Series continues through Friday, April 9 and the final is scheduled for Monday, April 19.
