Field set for single Meadowlands Pace elim

Thirteen 3-year-old pacers entered the Meadowlands Pace, making one elimination necessary on Saturday (July 4).

With 13 entries, byes were offered to the horses with the highest career earnings. The connections of Brandon Blvd, Bookie J, and Ubrute declined the byes, while Al Papi, Melillo, and Lindy Dragonwater accepted byes into the final schedule for Saturday, July 11.

Following is the field for the $50,000 elimination in post order:

  1. Bookie J – Jason Bartlett – Chris Ryder
  2. Sweet Lovin Lou – Scott Zeron – Daniel Lagace
  3. Brandon Blvd – Dexter Dunn – Andrew Harris
  4. Gentleman’s Club – Andrew McCarthy – Aaron Lambert
  5. Talbot Andretti – Matt Kakaley – Jake Leamon
  6. Ubrute – Yannick Gingras – Ron Burke
  7. Toby Ornot Toby – Tim Tetrick – Scott DiDomenico
  8. Obliterate – Patrick Ryder – Chris Ryder
  9. Azrael Blue Chip – Brett Beckwith – Besim Odza
  10. Always B Charlie – Jason Bartlett – Nancy Takter

Saturday (July 4) has a special early post time of 6 p.m. FS1 will broadcast the racing action beginning at 8 p.m. Following the races, a free fireworks display will celebrate the country’s 250th anniversary.
