Woodbine Entertainment will be celebrating International Women’s Day with a special race on Friday, March 8 at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

The International Women’s Day race will feature a field of women drivers competing. This will mark the third straight year Woodbine Mohawk Park has hosted an International Women’s Day race.

Last year’s event was split into two races, with Marie-Claude Auger and Anita Ouellette scoring victories. Natasha Day won the first International Women’s Day race back in March of 2022.

As part of the celebrations, Woodbine’s simulcast show will feature Woodbine hosts Elissa Blowe, Monique Vág and former Woodbine commentator Renee Kierans. The broadcast will shine a spotlight on the women of harness racing throughout the entire evening.

Post time on Friday, March 8 is 7:10 pm.
