Harness racing driver Louis-Philippe Roy enjoyed his return to the Hippodrome 3R so much last week, winning five races, he has decided to come back and try again on Sunday.

“It will be hard to do better than last week,” Roy said. “We had a sunny day. It was great, I was happy about the weather forecast being wrong in predicting rain.”

LPR has a drive in all ten races Sunday. Post time is 12:30 pm.

“I hope we get a nice day again tomorrow,” Roy added. “I am sure every Habs fan in the paddock should be happy about tonight’s win and excited about game 7!”

The three-time O’Brien award winner has two strong candidates in two of the three co-feature races.

In the fourth race Preferred-Handicap Trot, LPR is back aboard Eau Naturelle for owner-trainer Carl Duguay. Last week they wired the field from post six. This Sunday the eight-year-old mare by Windsong Espoir gets the far outside post 8 to contend with.

Eau Naturelle is the lone mare in the race against seven males.

In the seventh race Preferred-Handicap Pace for the mares, LPR is back with another Carl Duguay return winner, YS Easy from post two.

Last week the Sportswriter mare waited until after the opening quarter mile, then jumped on the lead and never looked back, winning in a romp in 1:56.4. Also, in the race in post eight is Jans Legacy for driver Stephane Brosseau. She won last week at H3R in 1:57.3.

In the ninth race Preferred-Handicap 2-1 Pace, LPR is aboard D J Power (post 4) and they will have their work cut out for them going against return winners Veneno (post 5), who won last week in 1:56.2 and Windsun Cheyenne (post 7) who scored a 1:57.3 win.

Also, in the race from post eight is Mickeymaksomespeed and Hooter Shooter (post 6), each of whom has been first or second in this class.

Track Notes: H3R will race next Friday post time 4:00 pm. The following two week there will be racing on Saturday June 12 & 19 for the Quebec Regional Fair Circuit. Then Friday racing will return. Sundays remain every week at 12:30 pm. For a free race program, visit www.hippodrome3r.ca.
