A ton of speed in this race. Many like to step out of the barrier including favorite Heavens Pulpit, who missed the podium only once in eight starts. During his last race in the Distaff Stake, he was beaten over 33/1 on seven Furlongs and the drop in distance makes him dangerous but if we look further, when he left on October 8th, he led by five lengths and had all the misery in the world to win so it’s been twice that it slows in the stretch line and a reply is very possible. No 2 Christmas Magic (10/1), a neglected, is to be respected. He loves this distance and has the quality to be patient at the start and it should help him in this race because fast fractions are to be expected from the 2/3 of the peloton. No 1 Ms Mershak (3/1) had two months off on her last start and finished five stretches from No 8 Heavens Pupit. He will be more ready and he will have a lot of speed to chase, which is the ideal scenario for his kind of race.
