Sirileo Miss on the rise in Sandown handicap

At 0h03, on April 4, 2021 By AUSTRALIA

Sirileo Miss will be favored to win her second start of 2021 in a minor handicap for fillies and mares at seven furlongs on Monday (Editor’s note: Sunday in Quebec) at Sandown Racecourse in Melbourne, Australia.

Judging from her record of two wins in her first three starts, Sirileo Miss could be on a career ascension that will lead to starts in group-level stakes in coming months.

Trained by Symon Wilde, Sirileo Miss won a handicap for 3-year-old Southern Hemisphere fillies on March 24 at Sandown in her first start since November. Sirileo Miss was ridden by apprentice jockey Melissa Julius and closed from sixth in a field of nine to win by a convincing 2 1/4 lengths.

On Monday, Julius is back aboard Sirileo Miss who is part of a field of 11 in the sixth race on an eight-race program that begins at 11 p.m. on Sunday.
