Sunset Six Multi-Race Wager Debuts at Gulfstream, Santa Anita

At 2h07, on September 26, 2025 By Gulfstream Park

The Sunset Six, a $1 minimum wager linking the last three races at Gulfstream and the last three races at Santa Anita, makes its debut Friday.

Available to retail customers only, the Sunset Six has a low 15 percent takeout and will be offered every day both Gulfstream and Santa Anita are running.

The Sunset Six gets under way Friday with Race 7 at Gulfstream, a six-furlong sprint for non-winners-of-two $8000 claiming fillies and mares. Victor Barboza Jr.-trained Paddy’s Gift, an impressive winner in $12,500 maiden claimer dropping in claiming price, is favored at 9-5 on the morning line in a field of nine. Rodrick Rodriquez-trained Five Eyes Onmichel, a steady-running filly who has been close often but winless in eight starts since breaking her maiden, is rated second at 2-1.

In the event that there are no tickets sold with all six winners, there will be a carryover with no consolation payouts.

The Coast-to-Coast Pick 5, a $1 minimum wager with a sequence including races at Gulfstream and Santa Anita, returns Friday.

Friday’s sequence begins with Race 8 at Gulfstream, the $75,000 Hallandale Beach, followed by Race 3 at Santa Anita, Race 9 at Gulfstream, Race 5 at Santa Anita and Race 7 at Santa Anita.

Like the Sunset Six, the Coast-to-Coast Pick 5 has a low 15-percent takeout. If there are no tickets sold with all five winners, there will be a carryover with no consolation payout.
