The Meadows back to action

At 0h45, on April 9, 2024 By THE MEADOWS

After taking a week off for scheduled track maintenance, The Meadows is back in action this week. Racing resumes Wednesday at 12:45 p.m. with 12 races, including the first leg of the Ruby Cook Memorial Pacing Series. Our Spring schedule will feature racing four days per week, Wednesday through Saturday, at 12:45 p.m.

The biggest part of last week’s maintenance project was the replacement of the infield video board.

The new, larger board will replace the old video board and the tote board. The tote board, a standard at The Meadows since its opening in 1963, will be gradually removed over the next several weeks. A new graphics package will also be in place starting Wednesday, in order to replace information that had been seen on the tote board.

Mike Wilder, one of the track’s leading reinsmen each year, will be making his 2024 driving debut at The Meadows on Wednesday. The Altmeyer-Wilder Racing Stable spent the winter in Florida training, and their horses will also be returning to action at The Meadows this week.
