Three freshman filly trotters — Hangtighthoney L, Joyofmylife As, and Judy’s Moni — are looking to stay perfect in the Buckeye Stallion Series this season as Eldorado Scioto Downs hosts five $20,000 divisions in the third leg on Tuesday (Aug. 12).

Judy’s Moni (Anthony MacDonald) is the 9-5 morning-line favorite in the first division and will leave from the rail. Trained by Jason McGinnis, the Ready For Moni filly won a division of the opening leg of the BSS at Scioto in a lifetime-best 1:57.2 and followed that up with a victory in the second leg at MGM Northfield Park in 1:59.4. She has hit the board in all three seasonal starts, adding a third-place finish to her resume. Mockingbird As (Dan Noble) is the 3-1 second choice. The Anette Lorentzon trainee has finished second in both starts this season, each of which has come in the BSS behind Judy’s Moni.

Hangtighthoney L shares 3-1 morning-line odds with Triumphant Times as co-second choice behind 9-5 favorite Til The End As in a loaded second division. Driven by trainer Hank LeVan, Hangtighthoney L won a division of the opening leg in a lifetime-best 1:58.1 and added a victory in the second leg in 1:59.4. The In Range filly has hit the board in nine of 10 seasonal starts with eight wins and one second. Triumphant Times (Kurt Sugg) will leave from the rail next to Til The End As (Noble) in post two. A winner in the second leg of the BSS in 2:00.2, Til The End As was the runner-up to Hangtighthoney L in the opening leg. The Guardian Angel As filly is trained by Lorentzon. Triumphant Times has won all three starts this season, including a division in the second leg of the BSS in a lifetime-best 1:59.4. Daren Harvey trains the Triumphant Caviar filly.

The Lorentzon-trained Joyofmylife As (Noble) is the 6-5 morning-line favorite in the fourth division after notching both of her seasonal wins in the BSS. Her opening-leg victory came in a lifetime-best 1:56.4, and she won a division of the second leg in 2:00.1. The Guardian Angel As filly will leave from post three in between 6-1 co-second choices Two By Four (Trevor Smith) in post two and Bobbie Mac (Justin Irvine) in post four. Bobbie Mac has one win in three starts this season, and Two By Four has yet to hit the board in four starts.

At 3-2, Guardian Doll is the morning-line favorite in the fifth division, which also features first-leg winner Chasingstardust As and second-leg winner Dublins Breanna. Driven by trainer Ronnie Gillespie, Guardian Doll is a Guardian Angel As filly with one win and one second in three starts this season. Another Guardian Angel As filly, Chasingstardust As (Noble) posted a lifetime-best 1:57.4 in her BSS win and was the runner-up to Triumphant Times in the second leg. She is trained by Lorentzon. A Vernon Beachy trainee, Dublins Breanna owns a lifetime-best 1:59.1 from her BSS win. The Enterprise filly also has a runner-up finish in three starts this season. Dublins Breanna and Chasingstardust As will leave side by side from posts five and six, respectively.

In the third division, Tomboy Strong (MacDonald) is the 2-1 morning-line favorite ahead of 7-2 second-choice Cast No Stones (Aaron Merriman), who will leave from the far outside. Trained by McGinnis, Tomboy Strong is a Long Tom filly with one win and one third in five seasonal starts. Cast No Stones is trained by Chris Beaver. The Muscle Up The Goal filly has a pair of runner-up finishes in three starts this season, finishing second to Chasingstardust As and Hangtighthoney L in the first two legs of the BSS, respectively. Rose Run Bridget (Tyler Smith), who won a division of the opening leg in 2:01.2, is 8-1. The What The Hill filly also has two seconds and two thirds in five seasonal starts.

Tuesday’s Buckeye Stallion Series is part of a 14-race card at Eldorado Scioto Downs. First-race post time is 5:45 p.m.
