Tioga Downs welcomes two divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 3-year-old trotting fillies on Sunday (July 11).

Splash Blue Chip (Ake Svanstedt) Is the 2-1 morning line favorite in the $56,000 first division of the NYSS.  Svanstedt trains the filly by E L Titan.  She has a second and a third-place finish in her four starts this season.  She has earned nearly $200,000 in her career.

Contested Hanover (Scott Zeron) looks to be her top competition.  The filly by Chapter Seven is trained by George Ducharme.  She has a second and two thirds in four starts this season.

Iteration (Brian Sears) is the one to beat in the $55,000 second division of the NYSS.  After an up and down freshman season the full sister to Gimpanzee is unbeaten in three starts as a 3-year-old including wins in the $150,000 New York New York Mile at Yonkers and the $102,500 Empire Breeders Classic at Vernon Downs.  Iteration (Chapter Seven) is trained by Marcus Melander.  She has eight career victories and has earned nearly half a million dollars.

Her main competition appears to be the Joe Holladay trained Sweeping Rainbow (David Miller).  She has finished second three times in a row.  She was second to Iteration in the New York New York Mile as well as a leg of the NYSS at Vernon Downs.  The filly by Chapter Seven has two wins as well as six second place finishes in her career.

The 11-race card starts at 1 p.m.
