A bet on Spartan Pride

A bet on Spartan Pride

At 9h00, on July 24, 2018 By Christian Gendron

On July 24th at Parx in the 2nd race (1M70Y | Dirt | 7,5K claiming), a Win Placed et Show bet on No 3 Spartan Pride (6/1). Also an Exacta at $ 2 on No 3 with 1,4,6, an Exacta at $ 2 on horses 1,4,6 with 3, a Trifecta at $ 1 on No 3 with 1,4,6 with 1, 4.6 as well as a $ 1 Trifecta on horses 1,4,6 with 3 with 1,4,6. Tuesday is the least busy day for thoroughbred racing and classes pay the price. Today, I turn to a small class to claim ($ 7,500) to try to beat a favorite No 1 Battle Ready rated at 1/2. This horse drops a lot of class which means: The owners aim for victory that seems assured but wish that the horse is not claimed (positive) or we simply want it to be claimed (negative). The horse is not in perfect health and has already capped. Based on these facts and the results of the past, I choose No 3 Spartan Pride, an honest horse that should be in the picture at the finish line.

Jockey: Frankie Pennington 22 % — Coach: M.Catalano Jr 23 %

For the WPS bet, I suggest increasing the placed and show bet vs Win bet. Example: Win $ 5, Placed $ 10 and Show $ 20.

Proposed bet: July 24, Parx, race 2

Win Placed and Show: Horse No.3

(Win: the horse chosen must finish first at the finish line)

(Placed: the chosen horse must finish among the first two at the finish line)

(Show: The selected horse must finish in the top three at the finish line)

Exacta: Exacta at $ 2 on No. 3 with 1,4,6, and Exacta at $ 2 on horses 1,4,6 with 3

(Exacta: Choose two horses that must finish first and second, in the chosen order)

Trifecta: A $ 1 to 3 Trifecta with 1,4,6 to 1,4,6 and a $ 1 Trifecta on horses 1,4,6 with 3 with 1,4,6

(Trifecta: Choose the three horses that will finish in order at the finish line)
