Pop-Up Series Start This Week

At 1h12, on June 24, 2026 By Hollywood Casino at The Meadows

Freshman trotters and pacers will take to the track this week in the first leg of four Pop Up Series events. Three divisions of 2-year-old filly trotters will kick off the action this Wednesday afternoon (Jne 24). There is no nominating or starting fee for the events. Each series will have two legs and a final, with $10,000 in purse money for each leg and a $15,000 final.

One of The Meadows most historic stake races, the Currier & Ives, will take place over two days this weekend. On Thursday afternoon (June 25), the $51,000 Currier & Ives 3-year-old Filly Trot will take place, and on Friday evening (June 26), it’s the $87,000 Currier & Ives 3-year-old Open Trot. This is the 52nd year for the Grand Circuit stake, which started in 1975. That year, the Open trot was won by Surefire Hanover and Stanley Dancer in 2:00.4, while the filly trot was won by Meadow Bright and Delvin Miller in 2:03.3. The stakes record for the Open trot was set in 2014 by Il Sogno Dream and David Miller, with a 1:53.2 effort. The filly record was set in 2024 by the now World Champion Allegiant, in 1:52.3. Hunter Myers drove Allegiant to that Currier & Ives victory.
